Liz graduated from Lawrence University in 1990 with a B.A. in Music. After college she married and moved to Minneapolis where she worked for nine years in the retail photo industry. In 2003 she received a Master of Agriculture in Horticulture degree at the University of Minnesota in St. Paul which led to a rewarding career as a Landscape Designer, Professional Gardener and Vice President of Operations at Heidi’s Lifestyle Gardens. Liz currently works as a crop consultant at Phillips Crop Care in Beaver Dam.
In 2010, Liz and her family moved back to her childhood home just outside of Theresa, WI. In 2012 Liz became a produce vendor at the Horicon Farmers Market. Liz was elected to the board in January 2013. Her current projects with the Phoenix Program include the Horicon Farmers Market and Winter Farmers Market, Horicon Community Gardens, Jersey Street Music Festival, city park playground upgrades, Discher Park historic restoration, River Bend holiday lights, and raising funds to support various programs.
